A Warning System You Can Trust
In the first 9 months of 2020, the NOAA recorded 16 weather/climate disasters totaling over $1 billion dollars in damage each, tying 2011 and 2017 for the highest annual number of disaster events affecting the United States. Of those, 11 involved severe weather, hail, or tornadoes.
In these times of uncertainty and increasing weather severity, communities need reliable warning systems.

System Design and Coverage Mapping
Our team has extensive experience designing the optimum warning siren system for your community – our complimentary siren site design service will take away the guesswork.
We look at topography, foliage, population centers, infrastructure, and a host of other factors to help you determine the best siren model and installation location to protect your community.
SV-8 Mass Notification Product
Storm Sirens, Inc. has a new product we are offering that has been introduced by Sentry Siren. It the newest product on the market from Sentry Siren, which is a mass notification product.
The SV-8 is a high-powered speaker array (HPSA) designed specifically to provide emergency messages and warning siren tones in a highly compact and affordable package.
The Sentry Siren SV-8 combines “giant voice” functionality with traditional siren tone warnings and emergency LED strobes to provide a powerful emergency signaling tool that is as easy to deploy as it is to use.
This ground-breaking electronic warning siren features industry leading intelligibility and easy deployability with an affordable price tag.
Sirens Equipped with Battery Backup
The Sentry Model 16V1T-B, Model 14V-B, and Model 7V8-B normally run from 230 VAC, single phase electrical service; however, if your community were to lose power, these sirens would then run from their banks of rechargeable batteries which will run the sirens for a cumulative time 30 minutes.
More than two decades ago, one of our first battery back-up models was installed in a little town in the Texas panhandle. Some years later, the town was struck by a powerful tornado which, unfortunately, destroyed the siren. When the fire chief called us for a replacement, he said that the siren had continued to sound on batteries even after it had been ripped out of the ground and only ceased upon returning to the earth. That is the reliability of a Sentry siren.
Standard AC Only Sirens
These sirens run directly from AC power. Most models are available in single phase and three phase electrical service. AC sirens are recommended for areas where severe weather does not usually cause power outages. Small AC only sirens are sometimes paired with generators.
In May of 2007, a community in Kansas was struck by an EF5, destroying nearly the entire city. Twenty minutes before the tornado hit, the city’s four Sentry sirens, three of which were more than fifteen years old, were set off, successfully warning families to take shelter. That is the reliability of a Sentry siren.
